Thanks for an amazing stay. The House is even more beautiful, spacious and unique in real life. Amanda was so friendly and welcoming and had lit the fires ready for our arrival. It was very family friendly with kids utensils and lots of lovely toys. Would definitely come back!

The house is so well equipped I had everything I needed to cook for 12 people. Amanda had even decorated a tree and other parts of the house so we felt right at home. You could really tell that Amanda loves this house and loves being a host. Everything was very homely and we were welcomed with a hamper with essentials. Even had up the Christmas decorations and tree which made the experience even better so close to Christmas. The space for our group was great with many different areas to sit and relax/play games. The location of the house was absolutely amazing with beautiful surrounding countryside. Amanda and Jeremy were close by if we needed anything and we’re just great hosts and lovely people. Would definitely recommend and would love to return! A proper countryside get away.

Amanda and Jeremy were the most wonderful hosts. The house is absolutely stunning - so beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It’s perfectly situated, with Glastonbury only a short drive away. We had a wonderful walk up the Tor and then a trip into the town. It was exceptionally clean, and Amanda was kind enough to leave us with some delicious locally made bread. We had the most wonderful weekend, thank you so much!

Lubborn House is a warm and welcoming home, rich in character, whilst still having all the modern additions you should ever need. All of the rooms have beautiful, eclectic furnishings and every window has superb views of the perfectly maintained country garden. The house is spotless top to bottom and the beds are very comfortable to sleep in, we found it hard to get out of them most mornings because they were so snuggly and soft! Amanda is a wonderful host, who is very friendly and a great communicator. She gave us a tour on our arrival and even left us some freshly baked bread and honey - so delicious!

Amanda was a great host, very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed. The house was perfect for our multi generation family. Great for trips to local towns and attractions. The garden was a huge hit and the toy room for our little ones to enjoy was perfect. Plenty of toys for all different ages. We spent most of the time in the kitchen as it was such a cosy sociable space with the sitting area in front of the fire and huge dining table.

Beautiful property! Lubborn House provides plenty of communal space for socialising but also spacious bedrooms and a number of bathrooms - perfect for a large group. Amanda and Jeremy were great hosts. We had a 10/10 experience.

We stayed here for a 3-day work offsite. The space was excellent, plenty of room for large group gatherings but also many separate communal spaces for smaller conversations to break out into. Being lucky with the weather in mid-September, there was even room for 10 of us to gather for two of the days around the outdoor table. The grounds were ideal too, the fire pit appreciated and the ping pong table back inside was well used. The house itself is beautiful and obviously well cared for, full of thoughtful touches well catered to large groups. I hope we'll come back for a future event.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at Amandas for my 40th birthday with close friends. The weather was kind and we sat in the gorgeous garden for meals, played garden games and went on walks in the beautiful local area. The house has everything you need and more. Amanda and Jeremy are fantastic for catering for people, families, events and are excellent facilitators overall. The hosts and the home both exceeded our expectations. I don't know what to rave about most - the beautiful house, setting, facilities and furnishings, stunning outdoor space or the instant and amazing help from the host. It was a majestic weekend for us, and we were thrilled with everything from initial booking right through to check out. Can't recommend this place enough. Perfection all round!

We booked this property as a last minute surprise for my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary and had the most amazing weeking. There were 12 of us and our dog and the property was absolutely perfect. It is very large so we had lots of space and the house was very homely with lots of artwork, rugs and tasteful decorations. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well kitted out. It was a lovely sunny weekend while we were there so we spent a lot of time in the enclosed garden playing croquet, rounders and badminton (there is net in the garden). However, had it been raining there was a good selection of board games and toys for smaller children. You can walk into town from the property where there is a small pub and a bakery with a great selection of sweet treats. We also did several different walks from the house with our dog, many of them along the river which he loved. The owners (Amanda and Jeremy) were incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay and made it very special for my parents. Thank you to you both.

This is a wonderful property, oozing character with beautiful surroundings. The house has very positive energy and it is clear that there were many happy family moments here. Our stay has hopefully added to the vibe; our children loved spending time here and we all left much more relaxed and happier. The hosts were always at hand to help whilst allowing privacy. I cannot fault them in any way, this place is highly recommended to anyone but especially extended families who want to connect with each other!

Hosts certainly know the local places to visit with great local knowledge. Where to wild swim, paddle board, nice walks, purchase local excellent wines from vineyards. Nothing was too much trouble for these excellent hosts.

Our group had the most amazing and magical time at Lubborn House. The location was absolutely stunning and with the lovely weather we made the most of the beautiful garden and fire pit in the evening. The house was absolutely immaculate and the bedrooms had the most luxurious beds- we all had some of the best sleep we’ve ever had! Everything from comfiest beds ever, anything we could ever need (and some things we didn't realise we needed) through to the extensive and immaculate garden, complete with fire pit and walking trails - this is a beautiful house, we couldn't have asked for more. As a group of 12 with ages ranging from 13 to 82, the house provided all the space, activities and facilities needed to keep everyone entertained, and was the ideal place for our family celebration. We booked this wonderful place for a short family holiday. From the beginning the communication with Amanda was quick and friendly. Our wonderful hosts even received our groceries delivery and took care of it. We were welcomed to the house and immediately felt at home. The house is even better than in the pictures, perfect for a large family or a group of friends. It is very private and the surroundings are beautiful. The house is perfectly stocked, so no need to bring your own books or games if coming with children. We loved our stay with Amanda and Jeremy and would recommend it to everybody. ❤️

We booked the house for a family celebration and the setting was gorgeous and the house was perfect. Big enough for 13 of us, and big enough to let the children (5 of them) do their own thing too. The whole family loved the house and spending time there. The house looks exactly like the pictures and the garden is amazing too. The house was perfect, and Amanda’s communication and proactiveness meant we felt completely at ease, check in and check out was super easy. We would definitely go back, which is probably the best recommendation we could give.

We had an amazing stay at Amanda's house. Its great for friends and family wanting to stay together but also wanting a little space to themselves. Amanda was the most accommodating host I have ever stayed with. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always on hand to answer any questions. Would definitely book again.

Our visit to Lubborn House was a most enjoyable weekend for all of our family. Staying in the house were three families apart from ourselves with children ranging from 3 to 14. My sister and some of her family visited us bringing a further 3 children. The children made good use of all the facilities available. Outside they enjoyed football, the hammock and toasting crumpets on the fire in the fire pit. Inside whilst the older ones were in the gym having a table tennis tournament, the younger ones were making good use of the dressing up clothes and all of the toys in the TV room.

The house was very impressive and there is a feeling you are in a National Trust manor. The surroundings were peaceful with only the sound of sheep outside. The large lounge was the adult relaxing area. We did not use the dining room but ate in the large kitchen which with the Aga and the log fire was very cosy.

Amanda was very helpful communicating well at all steps in the process. Jeremy too added support by collecting a delivery for us.

All in all a good time was had by everybody and we would highly recommend Lubborn House. We hope we can have a longer stay in the future.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay to celebrate my 60th birthday with two families of grown up children. Amanda is a very warm and welcoming host - she had even written a birthday card and provided celebrations chocolates for when I arrived. She also gave us lots of recommendations for local places to visit where were great. The house and gardens are even more beautiful than the photographs show - fabulous interior design with comfortable mixture of traditional and modern and the garden is perfect for dining, relaxing, playing croquet or just enjoying the planting. We had everything we could have possibly wanted and would love to go back again.

What an incredible weekend we had at Lubborn House. The perfect setting for a restorative few days away for a group of (very tired) mums. It really did feel like a home away from home.

We spent a rainy Sunday sat around the kitchen table, warmed by the Aga and the open fire, while chatting and painting and playing cards and it was, honestly, perfection. Just what we all needed.

Amanda and Jeremy were so welcoming. And went out of their way to make us feel welcome, including unpacking all of our food shopping and liaising with the company we'd hired a hot tub from.

What stood out to me about this property was how child friendly it was. Bedroom 6 & 7 was perfect for my family and my toddler loved having his own room. There are toys and games everywhere. I wish I could have given Amanda’s Airbnb 10 stars! It was just the most beautiful location, the most beautiful space and Amanda and her family were so helpful and friendly. The house and gardens are so incredible, we couldn’t quite believe it when we walked in. The beds were really comfortable and each room was beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed too.
We lucked out with the weather which made our time even more beautiful, but this place would be amazing whatever the weather. Amanda was also really helpful with recommendations and with any questions we had (would recommend wild swimming near by!)

We absolutely loved our girls weekend at Amanda’s property. Amanda and her husband are so lovely and accommodating. Extremely helpful with directions and showing us around on arrival, then left us to it until having a lovely chat on departure.
The house is incredible and perfect for 10 of us (still very roomy!). We wanted for nothing. Full kitchen, tv, linens and towels, bbq ready to go. We met her gorgeous cat and dog (on request only) and everything very clean. Thank you Amanda!

Wonderful communicative hosts. I highly recommend the house, the bedrooms are very well proportioned, with a large eat-in kitchen. Outside is an outstanding garden with various spaces including a small football goal, an oversized hammock, fire pit, BBQ and plenty of patio furniture to enable all fresco socialising. There are some beautiful walks nearby too. Highly recommended.

In a nutshell: A great stay in a fantastic building. Amanda (the host) was fantastic during the booking process, giving us excellent communication and also during our stay. We booked a weekend at Lubborn House and had the luxury of being the very first visitors staying at the property. We were provided with instructions with how to find the accommodation and then were greeted by Amanda personally. We had a tour around the house - which was very much needed. The stone work in the house gave us a wonderful atmosphere and with a few kids staying with us we enjoyed the large garden with its different areas and also explored the local village and town. Rooms, beds and rooms were as advertised, each with different character. We enjoyed exploring all the different rooms and use of the large kitchen. Overall fantastic host, great accommodation and would definitely recommend for large families. :)

We stayed here for a week with three generations of family my including two dogs and very small baby! Amanda was a fabulous host. Responsive, proactive, nothing too much trouble. Delicious bread and local honey on arrival. The welcome was lovely but she also just let us get on with it and we had complete privacy. The house is great - it was perfect for our needs. We were in the area to attend a family wedding. We come from Australia so finding a place where all the extended family could be together was really important. When I found Amanda’s listing I thought I’d hit the jackpot. It turned out to be even better than advertised. Super comfortable, beautiful furnishings, comfy beds with w we quality linen. The gardens are stunning and nothing was too much trouble for Amanda and Jeremy. Thanks so much for helping to make this last weekend even more special. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Amanda and Jeremy are incredible hosts! They helped us so much while we hosted a 10 woman retreat. We had rental car problems and they stepped Into help while we were in a foreign country, they picked up our chef in town for us and were easy to get ahold of if we needed assistance in the house during the stay. We plan to return again as this space is such a beautiful place to host events! Amanda was so helpful to the group! She helped us create more ease in flow with her help and suggestions! It’s helpful to know is that there is no dryer so the clothes need to hang dry and English weather can be unpredictable. The country lanes are very narrow to drive on in the surrounding areas so plan accordingly. We had 2 large Jeeps and struggled to pull to the shoulder of many lanes.

Our stay at Lubbon House was just so memorable! Amanda has created such a cozy home full of everything one would need (especially for families)! A wonderful stay at an incredible house in the countryside! A perfect stay for a big group. Each room was beautifully designed, so unique and had lovely furnishings (and the beds were very comfy!) We had a couple of nights on our annuals girls weekend. The house was beautiful with everything we needed and more. Amanda was hugely accommodating from the start, recommending a caterer who dropped food off for one of the nights. Amanda also over saw our delivery of online shop. Flexible check out time also gave us a lie in. All The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with lovely linens. It was the perfect winter stay for a girls groups but would be equally great for families and teens.

Highlights included the luxurious bath in one of the ensuites, the table tennis table and home gym, the cosy wood fires, and of course cooking breakfast on the impressive Aga. This is a perfect stay for a large group with plenty of space for everyone, so much so that we often lost each other! We visited Glastonbury which was worth the visit and views from the Tor were fabulous. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily come back again in the future. The check-in and Check out was so easy and flexible and Amanda kindly unpacked all of our shopping for us before we even arrived! She went out of the way to make sure we had a good time and had the house well stocked with everything a family would need. She is one of the best hosts I’ve encountered on AirBnb and I would highly recommend her place for anyone looking for peace and quiet in the Somerset countryside.

I can’t recommend Amanda as a Host or her gorgeous home enough. She was incredibly helpful & generous throughout our whole stay, and helped to accommodate us, considering we had a lot of children with us. She was incredibly fast to respond with any queries we had, and really welcomed and made us feel at home. Amanda’s home is so beautiful, and has the most stunning views. Perfect for all the family, it was incredibly clean and catered well for babies and children, as well as for adults. I guarantee you will have the best stay at Amanda’s home, and she will make you feel at home at all times.

We had great communication with Amanda prior to our visit. On arrival we were met by our host and shown around. What a beautiful launch pad for a get together, with a house that lends itself to so many activities like morning yoga in the garden, walks in the local area and the stars at night are especially amazing. A location inclusive of all facilities and all mod cons, not least a barbecue and a fire pit which was a definite plus.
The size and house layout is amazing for quiet breakaways if required, and at the same time spacious enough to have everyone gathered together. All kids and adults were drawn away from screens because there was so much else to do - in the house itself and outside, which is great for honing interpersonal connection.
The host was so kind, responsive and helpful, from food deliveries to external catering, to where to go, there is nothing about the local area she doesn't know and not willing to share. This is a gem of a location.

ROSWITHA

We were a group of 13 of mixed age. Everyone felt at home and comfortable. So much space that we could all be together or indulge in separate group activities. We loved the table-tennis and croquet and the fresh fruit trees!

MIRIAM

A lovely large house with loads of outside space as well as plenty of interior space if the weather isn’t good. A perfect place for a special family get together with a wide range of equipment to play games or keep fit. Beautiful gardens and a very helpful host who went of their way to look after us.

This is a brilliant house to stay in- perfect for our special family birthday celebration. Beautifully looked after old house with large garden in a great location. We had a great time there and will have lovely memories. Big enough to comfortably fit our large group of mixed ages. Very peaceful location in a very pretty part of Somerset. Amanda was a great host - helpful and clear instructions. Altogether a great place to stay!

MIRANDA

We loved our stay in Baltonsborough. Amanda’s house is both beautiful and comfortable - lots of space to spread out, but also a good sized, welcoming kitchen area where all 7 of us spent most of our time together. There are well stocked wood fireplaces in several rooms and the basement ping pong table got a lot of use. The house is private, but Amanda was available as necessary. The house is homely and personal - lots of art and decorations which are personal, not curated. Several walks, including a loop around Glastonbury Tor are easily accessible, and there are both local pubs and fine dining within 20 minutes.

JEREMY

We had an incredibly special stay at Amanda’s home, it was heaven for all of our young children and a perfect space for families (with one dog who was very happy!). Amanda could not have been more accommodating and kind. We will come back!

Excellent spot for a large family gathering. lots of space for everyone in beautiful, peaceful surroundings and a wonderfully furnished venue. handy for trips to Glastonbury and beyond. Very friendly and helpful hosts who made our stay extra special.

We stayed as a group of 12 for a long weekend and had the most wonderful time! Amanda greeted us and was so friendly, helpful and lovely. The place was even better than the photos, with each room so unique in their own way. We loved making use of each communal space, especially the large dining room and yoga studio! Only a short drive from Glastonbury town, we were able to explore the beautiful surrounding areas. Lots of memories were made and we cannot recommend Amanda’s place enough! Would definitely return :)
